Publish Dates: May 25, 2003 <br /> June 1, 2003 <br /> <br /> NOTICE TO BIDDER <br /> <br />The City of Paris will receive sealed bids on contract five (5) at the Office of the City Manager, City of Paris, <br />135 1st SE, Post Office Box 9037, Paris, Texas 75461-9037 for construction of the Paris Sports Complex <br />under the Texas Parks & Wildlife Local Assistance Program, for the Parks and Recreation Division of the <br />Public Works Department. <br /> <br />Bids will be received until 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at which time all bids will be publicly <br />opened at the City of Paris City Hall Building, 135 1st SE, Paris, Texas, read aloud, tabulated and referred to <br />the City Council for consideration. <br /> <br />Bids are invited upon the several items and quantities of work as follows: <br /> <br />Contract #5: Restroom building, Restroom/Concession building, gateway building and entry sign (masonry, <br /> building, plumbing, electrical and roofing) <br /> <br />All quantities are estimated and subject to change. Contract documents, including drawings and technical <br />specifications, are on file for viewing during regular business hours at the office of MHS Planning & Design, <br />and the City of Paris. <br /> <br />A set of proposal, contract, bonds, plans and specifications for the respective contract may be purchased for <br />$75.00 atthe office of MHS Planning & Design, 212 W. 9th., Tyler, Texas 75701 (903) 597-6606 or atthe <br />City of Paris Public Works Department, 50 W. Hickory, Paris, Texas 75460 (903) 784-9289. The check <br />should be made to MHS Planning & Design. <br /> <br />Bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's check payable to the order of the CITY OF PARIS in an amount <br />equal to 5% of the total bid. Bid Bonds in lieu of cashier's check will be accepted on sureties licensed to do <br />business in the State of Texas. <br /> <br />Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum required salaries and wages must be paid on this <br />project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not <br />discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. <br /> <br />The CITY OF PARIS reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. <br /> <br />In order to assure that all potential bidders receive any corrections or addendums to the specifications, an <br />official "Bidder's List" will be maintained in the Consultant's office for the project. Any notices on changes <br />in the plans and/or specifications will be sent to those on the "Bidder's List"; neither the Consultant nor the City <br />of Paris will be responsible for sending notices to those not on the official list. <br /> <br />Mattie Cunningham <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
