DRAFT <br /> F:ALICE\RESWORK\CURRENT\ Lake Crook Surplus Property Res <br /> July 10, 2003 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br /> PARIS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE SALE OY A 7.104 ACRE TRACT OF <br /> LAKE CROOK PROPERTY OUT OF THE T. G. CHISUM SURVEY, <br /> PREVIOUSLY DECLARED TO BE SURPLUS PROPERTY; MAKING <br /> OTHER YINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; <br /> AND PROVIDING AN EYYECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore on the 14th day of <br />October, 1991, in Resolution No. 91-108, declare a 7.104 acre tract located on the southeast <br />boundary of Lake Crook property as described on the survey attached hereto as Exhibit A, to be <br />of no known municipal use and declared to be surplus property in order that the property line may <br />be improved; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the time said property was declared to be surplus, J. T. Stephens had <br />requested to purchase the property for the market value, and the transaction was never completed; <br />and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has been contacted by a Mr. David R. Robinson who has purchased <br />Mr. J. T. Stephens' property and is desirous of purchasing the said surplus 7.104 acre tract; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there continues to be no known municipal use for the same and because of <br />the location of the property it is basically land locked it would be right and proper to approve the <br />sale of this property to the adjacent property owner; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all <br />things approved. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That thc 7.104 acre tract located on thc southeast boundary of said Lake Crook <br />property as described on the survey attached hereto as Exhibit A, be, and the same remains to be <br />declared surplus property. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That the minimum fair market value of said property, based on the value of <br />adjacent property as established by the Lamar County Appraisal District, shall be and is $750.00 <br />per acre or portion thereof. <br /> <br /> <br />
