Ofcr. 02-03 Rea.wpd <br /> July 7, 2003 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br /> PARIS, TEXAS, RATIFYING AND APPROVING AN <br /> INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH PARIS INDEPENDENT <br /> SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR PROVISION OF JUVENILE JUSTICE <br /> RESOURCE OFFICER SERVICES TO ALL PISD CAMPUSES DURING <br /> 2002-2003; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO <br /> THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Paris Independent School District requested Juvenile Justice Resource <br />Officer services during the 2002-2003 school year at PISD campuses, and the City of Paris <br />provided such service; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, providing such services pursuant to an Intergovernmental Agreement, <br />attached hereto as Exhibit A, should, in all things, be ratified and approved, and the Mayor of the <br />City of Paris should be authorized to execute the same; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things <br />approved. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That providing services pursuant to an Intergovernmental Agreement with the <br />Paris Independent School District, attached hereto as Exhibit A, for Juvenile Justice Resource <br />Officer services during 2002-2003 at PISD campuses, be, and the same is hereby, ratified <br />and approved. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on <br />behalf of the City of Paris, the Intergovernmental Agreement with the Paris Independem School <br />District, under the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto. <br /> <br /> Section 4.
