CltAP'i'ER 12 <br /> <br /> RECONSTRUCTION <br /> <br />If, in the opinion of City Inspectors, and following an inspection and preliminary work write up, <br />the rehabilitation of the home cannot be done within the budget and in compliance with existing <br />. codes and regulations, the City may offer to reconstruct a home on owner's property. <br /> <br /> Owner must agree, in writing, to voluntary relocation if the unit must be reconstructed on the <br /> same site. If the unit can be reconstructed on the same lot, the owner may remain in the unit until <br /> the new unit is completed. The original unit will be demolished in either event. <br /> <br /> Owner must also agree, in writing, to request the demolition and clearance of the original <br /> structure. Reconstructed units will comply with local new construction code and model energy <br /> codes. Owner must to provide Fire and Extended Insurance on replacement homes for a period <br /> not less than the lien period (5) years.
