TI R <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING OF THE <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />MONDAY, MARCH 3, 1997 <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission met Monday, March 3, 1997 at 5:30 p.m. <br />in the City Council Room at City Hall, Paris, Texas, with the following members <br />present: <br />1. <br />Nadine Ausbie <br />4. <br />Joe McCarthy <br />2. <br />Eva Flenniken <br />5. <br />Bobby L. Myers <br />3. <br />Marshall Kent <br />6. <br />Cesar Horta <br />Earl Smith, the City Engineer, was also present. <br />The meeting was called to order by Marshall Kent. <br />1. The minutes from the February 3, 1997 regular Planning and Zoning <br />meeting were approved with a motion by: Joe McCarthy and seconded by <br />Bobby Myers. The motion carried by a vote of 6 ayes and 0 nays. <br />2. Public Hearing to consider the closing of the alley located between <br />Booth Street and Tudor Street from the west boundary line of 19th <br />N.E., west to the east boundary line of 17th N.E. <br />The public hearing was declared opened. <br />Al Clark stated the alley was being enjoyed by adjacent property owners. <br />There was no opposition and the public hearing was declared closed. <br />Nadine Ausbie made a motion to recommend approval to close the alley <br />and retain easements. The motion was seconded by Bobby Myers and <br />carried by a vote of 6 ayes and 0 nays. <br />3. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Bobby Smallwood for a <br />change in zoning from an Agricultural District (A) to a Commercial <br />District (C) on Lot 11, City Block 321, located in the 1700 Block of <br />F.M. 195. <br />The public hearing was declared opened. <br />
