WALTERS APPLIED TECHNOLOGY BUILDING, ROOM 1206 <br /> <br /> WEST ENTRANCE <br />2400 CLARKSVILLE STREET <br /> <br /> PARIS, TEXAS <br />TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2003 <br />6:00 O'CLOCK, P.M. <br /> <br />(NOTE: <br /> <br /> AGENDA <br /> <br /> It is respectfully requested that presentation before the City Council be <br /> confined to two minutes or less.) <br /> <br /> Call meeting to order. <br /> <br /> Public hearing on the proposed amendments to the City Manager's proposed <br /> Budget for fiscal year 2003-2004 for the City of Paris. <br /> <br /> Consider, discuss, and take possible action on amendments to the 2003-2004 <br /> Budget. <br /> <br />Consideration of and action on an ordinance adopting a Budget, as amended, <br />for the ensuing fiscal year beginning October 1, 2003, and ending September <br />30, 2004, in accordance with the Charter of the City of Paris. <br /> <br /> Consideration of and action on the following resolutions: <br /> <br />A. Authorizing the transfer of budgetary appropriations as allowed in <br /> Section 58 and 70 of the Charter of the City of Paris. <br /> <br />B. Expressing support for financial incentives for the expansion of <br /> Campbell Soup and urging in the strongest possible terms Governor <br /> Rick Perry to utilize discretionary State economic development funds <br /> in furtherance of said proposed plant expansion. <br /> <br /> Presentation by various staff on the status of an inquiry from and resulting <br /> investigation by the U. S. Department of Labor. <br /> <br /> <br />
