MINUTES OF THE EMERGENCY SPECIAL MEETING OF <br />THE PARIS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION <br />September 18, 2003 <br /> <br />The Paris Economic Development Corporation met in emergency special session <br />Thursday September 18, 2003, 9:00 A. M., at Paris Junior College, Bobby R. <br />Walters Applied Technology Building, Room 1208, 2400 Clarksville Street. <br />President Wall called the meeting to order with the following Directors present: <br />Dick Severson, Sims Norment, and Rodney Bass. Also present were Executive <br />Director Gary Vest, Mayor Curtis Fendley, City Attorney Larry W. Schenk, and <br />City Clerk Mattie Cunningham. <br /> <br />President Wall announced that the special meeting was called for a closed session <br />in accordance with Sec. 551.087 of the Open Meetings Act, to discuss possible <br />incentives, pending negotiations, and commercial financial information from <br />business prospects and potential financing for a possible Campbell Soup <br />expansion. <br /> <br />President Wall declared the special meeting closed, and the closed session opened <br />at 9:05 A. M. <br /> <br />President Wall reconvened the meeting at 10:05 A.M. <br /> <br />President Wall advised the Board that no action on Agenda Item No. 3, <br />consideration of and action on possible incentives for the possible expansion of <br />Campbell Soup was taken. <br /> <br />There being no further business, a motion was made by Rodney Bass, seconded <br />by Director Severson, to adjourn the meeting.
