Regular City Council Meeting <br />July 14,2003 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />6 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />Steve Methven, Chief Building Official, advised that Mr. Ross should have <br />brought in a bond along with his contract, but Mr. Methven had not seen either. <br />City Attorney Schenk advised that he picked up a form to substitute a <br />certificate of deposit, and they were going to go ahead and do that even though <br />the ordinance does not provide for a CD. The City Attorney said apparently <br />CD's have been allowed in the past. <br /> <br />Shawn Napier advised that Brad Hutchison is preparing the contract that was <br />spoken of last week, and the contract did not get finished. He thought that was <br />the hold up. Mr. Bray advised that there were a few additions that the City <br />Attorney wanted to add to the agreement and Brad had not finished. <br /> <br />Councilman Bell made a motion, seconded by Councilwoman Neeley, that the <br />Final Plat of River Oaks Subdivision be approved tonight, subject to Mr. Ross <br />delivering his surety bond or a signed Certificate of Deposit by 3:00 P.M. <br />tomorrow, July 15, 2003, to the City Attorney' s office. Failure to do so would <br />deny the Final Plat. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2003-031 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, DENYING TXU GAS COMPANY'S REQUEST TO <br />CHANGE RATES INSIDE THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, AS <br />PART OF THE COMPANY'S STATEWIDE GAS UTILITY SYSTEMS; <br />PROVIDING A REQUIREMENT FOR A PROMPT REIMBURSEMENT OF <br />COSTS INCURRED BY THE CITY; FINDING THAT THE MEETING AT <br />WHICH THIS ORDINANCE IS PASSED IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS <br />REQUIRED BY LAW; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND <br />PROVIDING FOR NOTICE OF THIS ORDINANCE TO TXU GAS <br />COMPANY, WAS PRESENTED. <br /> <br /> <br />
