DRAFT <br /> <br />F:kAttorney\LisahO. esolutions\CURRENT~PD Vehicles - HGAC Res.wpd <br /> October 30, 2003 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A PURCHASE <br />ORDER THROUGH THE HOUSTON-GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL OF <br />GOVERNMENTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF THREE (3) MODEL YEAR <br />2004 POLICE PACKAGE CHEVROLET IMPALAS FOR USE IN THE <br />PATROL DIVISION OF THE PARIS POLICE DEPARTMENT; MAKING <br />OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Paris has been a member of the Cooperative Purchasing Program <br />through the Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments since October 1, 1990; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate the City of Paris purchase three (3) Model Year 2004 <br />Police Package Chevrolet Impalas through said Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments <br />for use in the Patrol Division of the Paris Police Department; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is further deemed appropriate the City Manager be authorized to execute a <br />purchase order for three (3) Model Year 2004 Police Package Chevrolet Impalas for use in the Patrol <br />Division of the Paris Police Department for a total purchase price of $51,147.00, including the cost <br />of the vehicles in the amount of $50,547.00, plus the cost of the Houston-Galveston Area Council <br />of Governments fee in the amount of $600.00; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things <br />approved. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, <br />on behalf of the City of Paris, a purchase order through the Houston-Galveston Area Council of <br />Governments for the purchase of three (3) Model Year 2004 Police Package Chevrolet Impalas for <br />use in the Patrol Division of the Paris Police Department for a total purchase price of $51,147.00, <br />including the cost of the vehicles in the amount of $50,547.00, plus the cost of the Houston- <br />Galveston Area Council of Governments fee in the amount of $600.00. <br /> <br />Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage. <br /> <br /> <br />
