ARTICLE 6 - GENERAL PROVISIONS <br /> <br />6.01 <br /> <br />6.02 <br /> <br />6.03 <br /> <br />6.04 <br /> <br />6.05 <br /> <br />6.06 <br /> <br />6.07 <br /> <br />The Public Agency is not an employee or agent of ATCOG, but carries out this <br />Contract solely as an independent Contractor. <br /> <br />Any notice under this Contract must be in writing and received by the party <br />against whom it is to operate to be effective. Notice is received by a party: <br /> <br />a. when it .is delivered to the party personally; <br /> <br />on the date shown on the return receipt if mailed by certified mail, return <br />receipt requested, to the party's address as specified herein and the receipt <br />is signed on behalf of the party; or <br /> <br />c. three (3) business days after its deposit in the United States mail, with first- <br /> class postage affixed, addressed to the party's address as specified herein. <br /> <br />ATCOG's address is: <br /> <br />Ark-Tex Council of Governments <br />122 Plaza West <br /> Texarkana, Texas, 75501 <br /> Attn: 9-1-1 Program Manager <br /> <br />Public Agency's address is: <br /> <br />City of Paris <br />2650 Clark Lane <br />Paris, Texas 75461 <br /> <br />A party may change its address specified herein by notifying the other party of the <br />change in accordance with this paragraph. When the notice becomes effective, <br />the changed address becomes the changing partner's address. <br /> <br />The following attachments are part of this contract: <br /> <br />a. Exhibit "A" - Contract as executed by and between the Commission on <br />State Emergency Communications and the Ark-Tex Council of <br />Governments <br />b. Exhibit "B" - Inventory of Equipment installed at PSAP location <br /> <br />Each individual signing this contract on behalf of a party warrants that he or she is <br />legally authorized to do so and that the party is legally authorized to perform the <br />obligations undertaken. <br /> <br /> <br />
