MINUTES OF THE EMERGENCY SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PARIS <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION <br /> October 27, 2003 <br /> <br />The Paris Economic Development Corporation met in a emergency special <br />meeting on October 27, 2003, 4:00 P.M., at Paris Junior College, Bobby R. <br />Walters Applied Technology Building, Room 1206, 2400 Clarksville Street, <br />Paris, Texas. President Wall called the meeting to order with the following <br />Directors present: Sims Norment and Rodney Bass. Also, present were <br />Executive Director Gary Vest, Ex-officio Members Tanis Hager, Mayor Curtis <br />Fendley, City Manager Michael E. Malone, City Attorney Larry W. Schenk, and <br />City Clerk Mattie Cunningham. <br /> <br />President Wall announced that the Paris Economic Development Board would <br />go into executive session at 4:09 P.M., in accordance with Section 55.087 of the <br />Open Meetings Act to discuss the status of or possible incentives, pending <br />negotiations, and commercial or financial information from business prospects <br />and potential financing for the following: <br /> A. Possible Campbell Soup expansion. <br /> B. Project Reserve. <br /> <br />At 5:21 P.M. Director Wall declared the executive session closed and the special <br />meeting back in session. <br /> <br />No action was required on Agenda Item No. 3, consideration of and action on <br />possible incentives for the possible expansion of Campbell Soup. <br /> <br />No action was required on Agenda Item No. 4, consideration of and action on <br />possible incentives for Project Reserve. <br /> <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />DON WALL, <br /> <br />PRESIDENT <br /> <br />MATTIE CUNNINGHAM, CITY CLERK <br /> <br /> <br />
