Item Six: After discussion, it was generally agreed that the Paris Main Street Program office would
attempt to cover the cost of certified mail postage to notify the numerous property owners in accordance
with the ordinance. It was also generally agreed that the Community Development Office of the City of
Paris would prepare the letters of notification to affected property owners. No formal motion was put forth
on this item.

Item Seven: Mr. Ron Emrich of the Urban Prospects consulting firm was introduced to the group and
made a presentation on the historic preservation process that the Commission is embarking on. His
emphasis was to educate Commission members to be an effective historic preservation commission. He
also examined the public hearing process in detail. Mr. Emrich answered numerous questions during and
after his presentation.

Item Eight: Paul Denney made a motion that the meeting be adjourned. Claudia Hunt seconded the
motion. The motion passed unanimously.

Respectfully Submitted,

Paul K.
