January 12, 2004 Page 3 Consideration of and action on the following ordinances: Providing that the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris be amended by revising Section 26-1 of said Code to authorize the staffing levels of the Police Department. Adopting a new Section 26-9 to Article I, Chapter 26 of the Code of Ordinances, entitled Seniority Pay, establishing thereby a program of Seniority Pay within the Paris Police Department for certified officers below the rank of Chief based on years of service or rank in accordance with Section 143.041 (c) 1 of the Local Government Code. Consideration of and action on the following resolutions: Affirming that the City of Paris has complied with the requirements of the Public Funds Investment Act and amending the City's investment policy. Representing the City of Paris's continued support of the Regional Controlled Substance Apprehension Program and the continuing efforts of the Tri-County Drug Task Force to target illicit controlled substances and organized criminal activity. Authorizing the application for a Regional Controlled Substance Apprehension Program grant from the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division for the Narcotics Task Force and authorizing the execution of an Interlocal Agreement with the counties of Lamar and Fannin and the City of Bonham. Accepting the Texas State Library and Archives Commission Loan Star Libraries Grant and authorizing the execution of Grant Agreement No. 442-04363. Authorizing the execution of a purchase order for one (1) ambulance through the Texas Local Government Purchasing Cooperative. Amending Resolution No. 2003-176 to amend the application for a Regional Solid Waste Grants Program Grant for fiscal year 2004 through the Ark-Tex Council of Governments in cooperation with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
