MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING BETWEEN <br />PARIS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />CORPORATION& AIRPORT ADVISORY <br />BOARD SUBCOMMITTEE <br />CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />TUESDAY, APRIL 8, 2014 <br />4:00 O'CLOCK PM <br />1. The Paris Economic Development Corporation and Airport Advisory Board Subcommittee <br />meeting was called to order at 4: 00 p. m. by Jack Ashmore, Chairman. <br />A. The following members were present: Chris Fitzgerald, Rebecca Clifford, Jack <br />Ashmore, Sue Lancaster, William Tolleson, Erik Roddy and Stephen Grubbs. <br />B. The following members were absent: None. <br />C. Also present was John Godwin, City Manager; Shawn Napier, Airport Director; <br />Alan Efrussy, Planning Manager; Jerry Richey, Airport Manager; John Wright, <br />City Council; Shannon Barrentine, Interim Executive Director, PEDC; Ashley <br />Fendley, City Staff, Dennis Ashby, Airport Advisory Board Member; Charles <br />Richards, eParisTexas.com and Lauren Corbell, Paris News. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meeting (March 6, 2014). <br />Motion was made by Erik Roddy, seconded by Sue Lancaster to approve the meeting <br />minutes for March 6, 2014. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />Stephen Grubbs arrived at 4:02 p.m. <br />William Tolleson arrived at 4:04 p.m. <br />3. Presentation from Matthew Felton with TxDOT Aviation about Airport Economic <br />Development and Marketing. <br />Matthew Felton with TxDOT Aviation stated I am the direct contact for the Cox Field <br />Airport. Mr. Felton Further stated that the City of Paris has filed for Non - Entitlement <br />Money to build hangars. The status of the money was cleared on Thursday, March 6, <br />2014; we are eighty -five percent complete with the planning process for the hangars. The <br />Paris Economic Development Corporation and Airport Advisory Board Subcommittee <br />stated they were more interested in what kind of resources they could use to bring <br />businesses to Cox Field. Matthew Felton stated that advertisement was the biggest key <br />factor in bringing businesses to Cox Field. <br />
