WHEREAS, the City Council desires to accept the aforesaid proposal of Freese and <br />Nichols, Inc., and the Mayor should be authorized to execute a contract for such assessment <br />services, under the terms and conditions and in the form approved by the City Attorney, subj ect <br />to the negotiation of a fee acceptable to the City Engineer, otherwise to award the contract to <br />the next most qualified proposer who can perform the services at a fee acceptable to the City <br />Engineer; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all <br />things approved. <br />Section 2. That the proposal of Freese and Nichols, Inc., attached hereto as Exhibit A <br />and for all purposes incorporated herein, for the performance of a water system vulnerability <br />assessment, be, and the same is hereby, accepted, subject to the terms and conditions of this <br />resolution. <br />Section 3. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on <br />behalf of the City of Paris, a professional services contract with Freese and Nichols, Inc. for the <br />performance of the aforesaid study, under the terms and conditions and in a form approved by <br />the City Attorney, and subj ect to the negotiation of a fee acceptable to the City Engineer, <br />otherwise to award the contract to the next most qualified proposer who can perform the services <br />at a fee acceptable to the City Engineer. <br />Section 4.
