Timothy E. Campbell, P.E.
Electrical/SCADA
Innova[ive approaches . .
EMOoil
irasse - Nichol•
practical results
Years Experience: 12
Registrations: Professional Engineer, Texas 1996 (#81 O1 1)
Education: B.S., Electrical Engineering, Texas A&M University, 1990
Mr. Campbell is experienced in electrical design, project management, coordination
of inechanical and electrical disciplines, and vulnerability assessments and
emergency operations planning. He has a background in design of electrical and
instrumentation for water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, and water
distribution. He is also skilled in the electrical design of commercial and industrial
facilities.
Project Experience:
Water System Vulnerability Assessments - Brown County WID # 1 and the
Cities of Abilene, Beaumont, Carrollton, Denton, Corpus Christi, Garland, Irving,
Midlothian, Plano, North Richland Hills, San Angelo and Temple, Texas. Reviewed
Water Utility VuInerability Assessments related to power instrumentation and SCADA.
Provided not only recommendations for physical improvements, but also operational
and procedure changes.
Wastewater Treatment Plant - City of San Angelo, Texas - Design of plant
improvements including new headworks, odor control, digesters, sludge handling,
gravity belt thickener. The anaerobic digester gas was collected and used to feed the
boiler.
Wastewater Treatment Plant - City of Beaumont, Texas - Provided the electrical
design for the complete replacement of the electrical system for the plant. The
existing system was outdated and several portions were not operable due to the
extreme corrosion. A new looped primary feed system was installed that fed motor
control centers inside air-conditioned enclosures to protect them from the hydrogen
sulfide. The motor control centers and various electrical distribution equipment are
housed in temperature controlled, prefabricated, 304 stainless steel buildings to
protect the equipment from the corrosive environment.
Water Treatment Plant - Ciy of Midland, Texas - Designed chemical feed
improvements, including chlorine storage and feed system. The $1.2 million
improvements included both chlorine and ammonia scrubber systems for the feed
and storage facilities.
Nitrate Treatment and Other Water System Improvements - City of Vernon,
Texas - Provided electrical and instrumentation design for the installation of the lon
Exchange Treatment Plant, elevated storage tank, new well sites and chlorine
injection. This project included providing SCADA for the City, containing installation
of radio equipment for 34 well sites, and 12 sanitary sewer lift stations.
Water Treatment Plant - City of Beaumont, Texas - Designed plant expansion
including new filters, pulsators, and chemical feed. Plant capacity was increased to
14 MGD.
bVater System Vulnerabiliry Assessment and Emergency Respon.e Plan
