14. <br /> <br />February 9, 2004 <br /> Page 3 <br /> <br />Consideration of and action on the following resolutions: <br /> <br />Ordering the regular municipal election for the City of Paris to be held <br />the 15th day of May, 2004, by the qualified voters of Districts 1, 2, 3, and <br />6 of the City of Paris. <br />Ordering a city-wide Special Election to be held in the City of Paris on <br />the 15th day of May, 2004, on the question of exempting the City of <br />Paris and the Paris Fire Department Retirement System from the <br />application of Article XVI, Section 66 of the Texas Constitution, entitled <br />Protected Benefits Under Certain Public Retirement Systems. <br /> <br />Expressing support for H.R. 2208, the Highway Funding Equity Act of <br />2003, pending before the United States Congress, to provide a more <br />equitable share of Federal highway funds to the State of Texas. <br /> <br />Approving and authorizing a Letter of Agreement by and between the <br />City of Paris and the Texas Historical Commission to qualify the City for <br />eligibility to continue to participate in the Main Street Graduate City <br />Program. <br /> <br />Approving and authorizing the execution of Contract Change Notice No. <br />03 (Attachment No. 0lA) to the Contract for Public Health Services, <br />TDH Document No. 7560022067-2004. <br /> <br />Authorizing the application for a grant from the Office of the Governor, <br />Criminal Justice Division, for the Red RiverValley Drug Task Force and <br />authorizing the execution of a Contract with the counties of Lamar, <br />Fannin, Hopkins, Delta, and Franklin, the cities of Bonham and Sulphur <br />Springs, and the 8th and 62nd Judicial District Attorney for Delta and <br />Franklin Counties. <br /> <br />THIS ITEM WAS TABLED AT THE JANUARY 12, 2004, REGULAR <br />MEETING. SHOULD THE CITY COUNCIL WISH TO CONSIDER THIS <br />MATTER TODAY, A MOTION TO BRING THIS ITEM FROM THE TABLE <br />IS REQUIRED. <br /> <br />Approving and ratifying a grant application to the Office of the <br />Governor, Criminal Justice Division, through the Ark-Tex Council of <br />Governments for a Violence Against Women Act Grant. <br /> <br /> <br />
