February 9, 2004 Page 3 Consideration of and action on the following resolutions: Ordering the regular municipal election for the City of Paris to be held the 15th day of May, 2004, by the qualified voters of Districts 1, 2, 3, and 6 of the City of Paris. Ordering a city-wide Special Election to be held in the City of Paris on the 15th day of May, 2004, on the question of exempting the City of Paris and the Paris Fire Department Retirement System from the application of Article XVI, Section 66 of the Texas Constitution, entitled Protected Benefits Under Certain Public Retirement Systems. Expressing support for H.R. 2208, the Highway Funding Equity Act of 2003, pending before the United States Congress, to provide a more equitable share of Federal highway funds to the State of Texas. Approving and authorizing a Letter of Agreement by and between the City of Paris and the Texas Historical Commission to qualify the City for eligibility to continue to participate in the Main Street Graduate City Program. Approving and authorizing the execution of Contract Change Notice No. 03 (Attachment No. 0lA) to the Contract for Public Health Services, TDH Document No. 7560022067-2004. Authorizing the application for a grant from the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, for the Red RiverValley Drug Task Force and authorizing the execution of a Contract with the counties of Lamar, Fannin, Hopkins, Delta, and Franklin, the cities of Bonham and Sulphur Springs, and the 8th and 62nd Judicial District Attorney for Delta and Franklin Counties. THIS ITEM WAS TABLED AT THE JANUARY 12, 2004, REGULAR MEETING. SHOULD THE CITY COUNCIL WISH TO CONSIDER THIS MATTER TODAY, A MOTION TO BRING THIS ITEM FROM THE TABLE IS REQUIRED. Approving and ratifying a grant application to the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, through the Ark-Tex Council of Governments for a Violence Against Women Act Grant.
