WHEREAS, the City of Paris, by and through the actions of the City Legal Department, <br />has acquired the necessary right-of-way to extend Hearne Street from 1 st Street S.W. to 4th <br />Street S.W., said right-of-way being acquired in conformance with prior resolutions adopted by <br />the City Council of the City of Paris; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Paris Economic Development Corporation has received competitive <br />bids for the construction of said street improvements upon the right-of-way owned by the City <br />of Paris and seeks authorization from the City Council of the City of Paris to perform said <br />construction upon said City-owned right-of-way; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris desires to authorize said construction, <br />at the sole cost and expense of the Paris Economic Development Corporation, subject to the <br />conformance of said construction with all applicable City ordinances, codes, regulations, and <br />specifications, and subject to the approval of City inspectors; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all <br />things approved. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Paris Economic Development Corporation shall be, and is hereby, <br />authorized to perform all work necessary, at its sole cost and expense, to construct the extension <br />of Hearne Street on City-owned right-of-way from 1 st Street S.W. to 4th Street S.W. in order <br />to improve access for large trucks necessary to serve various industries adjacent to said street <br />improvements, including Delta Logistics, Rodgers-Wade Manufacturing, and various <br />warehouses, and at the same time alleviating large truck traffic on adjacent residential streets.. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That construction of said street improvements as authorized herein shall be, <br />and is hereby, conditioned upon conformance by the PEDC with all applicable City ordinances, <br />codes, regulations, and specifications associated therewith, and subject to the review and <br />approval by appropriate City inspectors.. <br /> <br />Section 4.
