(EXPLAIN below): <br /> <br />Source of Financial Support Total Estimated <br /> Amount of Support <br />a) Federal Funds (excluding this r~quest): $0.00 <br />b) State Funds (excluding this request): $0.00 <br />c) Local Government Funds: $0.00 <br />d) Private Funds: $0.00 <br />e) Program Income: $0.00 <br />f) Other (please IDENTIFY): I $0.00 <br /> <br />PART 2: GOAL STATEMENT <br /> <br />Significantly reduce the trafficking of controlled substances, dangerous drugs, and marijuana in the project <br />area while supporting the local law enforcement agencies with reducing drug-related crime and address any <br />terror[sm matters related to homeland security. <br /> <br />PART 3; TARGET (~ROUP <br /> <br />a) Geographic Area: The project area is located in Northeast Texas and consists of Delta, <br /> Fannin, Franklin, Hopkins, and Lamar counties. The two Northern counties <br /> border the State of Oklahoma. The two Southern counties are situated on <br /> Interstate 30 between Dallas and Texarkana. The five counties make up <br /> approximately 4,736 square miles and have a population of 128,111 <br /> people. Approximately half of the populace lives in urban residential <br /> districts. The remainder of the populace lives in the rural areas of the <br /> counties and the economic base is primarily derived from agriculture. <br />b) Target Audience: The audience to be targeted consists of all the narcotics traffickers, <br /> e~cially the [~r~lucer~ of rnethamphetamine using the Nazi Method. A <br /> high priority emphasis will be placed on this audience to identify, <br /> investigate, and indict all offenders whose cdminal responsibility is at issue. <br /> Another priodty is the use of an interdiction officer/canine to interdict the <br /> audience smuggling namotics from the Dallas/Fort Worth area by the way <br /> of Interstate 30 to desinations in the Eastern parts of the United States.
