Becky Nonnent brought the Commission's attention lo lhe I SI' Strcet <br />ama. It was decided that this was also an important part of this area and should be <br />included in thc District. Barbara Wilson recommended that the Historical Industrial Area <br />to thc South should bc designated a separate historic area and that the Church, S. Main. <br />and I ST Street area should be end,}ust North of the Depot. The City l!nginccr and <br />Tommy I lathes brought the Commissions attention to thc fact that this u, ould take extra <br />time to compile owner lists and that this would need to be taken into considcrmion with <br />regard to setting the time lbr planning thc public hearing. Ibis will be addressed at the <br />November ~nccting. <br /> <br />Item F~ight: Discussion of and possible action on new stand-along recommendations. <br />l'bc Baldwin l louse circa 1892.714 Graham, was recommended for a I listoric Stand <br />Alone designation. Barbara Wilson recommended tha! ltistoric Stand Alone designation <br />bc extended to The Evergreen Cemetery. He declined to <br />comply. Commission denied his late petition and referred possible <br />action to tile City Attorney. <br /> <br />Jlenl Tcn: <br /> <br />Salvation Army '1 lu'ifl Store - Rodncy Flippen, Chairman lbr new thrift <br />store presented plans and drawings for the new building. <br />Annand Frank discussed with thc Commission tile design oflhe building. <br />landscaping.
