Paris Convention and Visitors Council <br />Love Civic Center <br />May 29, 2014 <br />4:00 p.m. <br />Present: Bobby Walters, Derald Bulls, Jeff Martin, Helen Bonham Short, <br />Mike Patterson Carolyn Patterson, Mary Lou Coe, Erik Roddy, Jeff Martin, Gail Dority, <br />James Brockway, Matt Frierson, Stephen Gerrald, Steve Keywood and Roy Gwinn. <br />Staff: Becky Semple, Melissa Cook, Gina Crawford <br />Chairman Bobby Walters called the meeting to order at 4:04 p.m. <br />Melissa gave the financials. A motion to accept was made by Mike Patterson, seconded by James <br />Brockway. <br />Melissa gave the budget report. A motion to accept was made by Roy Gwinn, seconded by Mary Lou <br />Coe. <br />A motion to approve minutes was made by Derald Bulls, seconded by James Brockway. <br />New Business — Funding request was presented. <br />1. Paris Antique Fair. A motion was made to fund $1250 by Jeff Martin, seconded by <br />Mike Patterson. <br />Term positions were drawn; Bobby Walters, one year, Helen Bonham Short, one year, James Brockway, <br />one year, Suzy Harper, one year, Carolyn Patterson, two years, Mike Patterson, two years, Roy Gwinn, <br />two years, Jeff Martin, two years, Mary Lou Coe, three years, Derald Bulls, three years, Gail Dority, three <br />years and Jon McFadden, three years. <br />Jeff Martin stated that a special event committee needs to be put together, Gail Dority, Roy Gwinn, <br />James Brockway and Carolyn Patterson all said they would like to be a part of the committee. <br />Becky spoke about marketing possibilities. <br />Motion to accept the upstairs remodel, for $6000, was made by Mike Patterson, seconded by Mary Lou <br />Coe. <br />Motion to give $5000 to economic study was made by Jeff Martin, seconded by Roy Gwinn. <br />With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:04 p.m. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Becky Semple <br />
