Regular City Council Meeting <br />February 9, 2004 <br />Page 11 <br /> <br />A motion was made by Councilman Guest to approve the resolution. It was <br />seconded by Councilwoman Neeley and carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />Mayor Fendley indicated that items M through V on the agenda were resolutions <br />authorizing the awarding of bids and wanted to know if they could be voted on <br />collectively. <br /> <br />Resolution 2004-033, awarding the bid for the purchase of flexible base material <br />(White Rock)for use in the Street Division of Public Works, was presented. The <br />lowest bidder was Martin Marietta Materials, who bid $8.10 per ton. <br /> <br />Resolution 2004-034, awarding the bid for the purchase of Portland Cement <br />Concrete for use in the various divisions of the Public Works Department, was <br />presented. Lowest bidder was Coston and Son Ready Mix, who bid $70.00 <br />cubic yard for ~Class A" (5 sack) and $73.50 for ~Class C" (6 sack). <br /> <br />Resolution 2004-035, awarding the bid for the purchase of CRS-2 Emulsion <br />Asphalt for use in the Street Division of the Public Works Department, was <br />presented. Lowest bidder was Ergon Asphalt and Emulsions with a bid of <br />$.7947 per gallon. <br /> <br />Resolution 2004-036, awarding the bid for the purchase of Flexible Base <br />Material (Red Rock) for use in the Street Division of Public Works, was <br />presented. Lowest bid was from Jackie Wheeler Construction at $8.25 per ton. <br /> <br />Resolution 2004-037, awarding the bid for the purchase of Hot Mix Cold Laid <br />Asphalt, Type ~B" (Fine Base), material for use in the Street Division of the <br />Public Works Department, was presented. The lowest bid of $28.75 was from <br />APAC-Texas, Inc. <br /> <br />Resolution 2004-038, awarding the bid for the purchase of SS-1 Emulsion <br />Asphalt (Tack Oil) for use in the Street Division of the Public Works <br />Department, was presented. Lowest bidder was Ergon Asphalt and Emulsions, <br />with a bid of $0.8147 per gallon. <br /> <br /> <br />
