A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING ADDENDUM NO. 2 TO THE AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH BUCHER, WILLIS & RATLIFF CORPORATION FOR WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS INCLUDING WATER TRANSMISSION LINES, WATER STORAGE FACILITIES, AND SYSTEM ANALYSIS STUDIES; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, did heretofore, on the 11 th day of February, 2002, in Resolution No. 2002-043, approve the execution of an Agreement for Engineering Services with Bucher, Willis & RatliffCorporation for water distribution system improvements including water transmission lines, water storage facilities, and system analysis studies; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 13th day of January, 2003, approve Addendum No. 1 to said engineering services agreement to revise the terms in order to obtain additional on-site construction representation services from Bucher, Willis & Ratliff; and, WHEREAS, the City Engineer, Shawn Napier, acting as project engineer, recommends the amendment of the Agreement for Engineering Services to provide for the transfer of $10,000.00 in approved funds from the contract category "Sub-Consultants" into the contract category "Construction Administration," as described in said Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A, which is covered by the allowance for engineering services, and providing for no increase in the contract price; and, WHEREAS, the form of Addendum No. 2 to the Agreement for Engineering Services, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the same; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved.
