<br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE PLANNING AND <br />ZONING COMMISSION <br />MARCH 1,2004 <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission met Monday, March 1, 2004, 5:30 <br />P.M., Paris Junior College, Bobby R. Walters Applied Technology Building, <br />Room 1206, 2400 Clarksville Street, Paris, Texas with the following members <br />present: <br /> <br />1. Reeves Hayter <br />2. Barbara Forrest <br />3. Bobby Myers <br /> <br />4. Louis Yates <br />5. Marshall Kent <br />6. Russell McCain <br /> <br />Steve Metheven, the Building Official was also present. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Reeves Hayter. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />There was no February 2, 2004, meeting due to lack of quorum. The <br />minutes from the January S, 2004, regular planning and zoning <br />meeting were approved by Russell McCain, seconded by Marshall Kent. <br />The minutes from the February 10, 2004, special meeting were <br />approved with a motion by Louis Yates seconded by Bobby Myers. <br />Motion carried by a vote of 6 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Public Hearing to consider the petition of Cindy Gates for a change in . <br />zoning from an Agricultural District (A) to a Commercial District (C), <br />With Specific Use Permit (49) Auto Fuel Sales, Lot 3, City Block 328, <br />being the 3800 Block of SW Loop 286. <br /> <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br /> <br />Cindy Gates, CR 33500, House 30, Sumner, Texas, spoke in favor ofthe <br />petition stating that the truck stop would be a family business to make <br />a living for her family. <br /> <br />Joe Early, 4035 Old Bonham, have lived there for 36 years--spoke in <br />opposition to the petition stating that he has tolerated the noise from <br />Kimberly Clark since they opened. Mr. Early lived next to a truck stop <br />
