<br />RESOLUTION NO. _______________
<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING CHANGE ORDERS NO. ONE AND TWO TO
<br />CONTRACT #1 WITH HILLIARD & SONS CONTRACTORS, INC. FOR
<br />CONSTRUCTION OF SOFTBALL FIELDS INCLUDING GRADING,
<br />GRASSING, IRRIGATION, AND INFIELD CONSTRUCTION FOR THE
<br />PARIS SPORTS COMPLEX; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND
<br />PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN
<br />EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />WHEREAS,
<br /> the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 8th day of May,
<br />2003, in Resolution No. 2003-079, award Contract #1 for construction of Softball Fields
<br />including grading, grassing, irrigation, and infield construction for the "Paris Sports Complex,"
<br />to Hilliard and Sons Contractors, Inc.; and,
<br />WHEREAS,
<br />MHS Planning & Design, acting as project engineer, recommends the
<br />amendment of the contract for said project by Change Order No. One, to add installation of two
<br />3" gate valves to irrigation system and change 3" irrigation system mainline to 4" (+/-560 linear
<br />increase
<br />feet), and providing for a net of $1,880.00 in the contract price, for a total contract price
<br />of $163,490.00; and,
<br />WHEREAS,
<br />MHS Planning & Design, acting as project consultant, recommends the
<br />amendment of the contract for said project by Change Order No. Two, by changing the dates
<br />related to various planting, fertilizing and grading on fields from May 1, 2004 to April 1, 2004
<br />as shown on Exhibit B attached hereto, providing for no change in the contract price; and,
<br />WHEREAS,
<br /> the form of Change Orders No. One and Two, attachedhereto as Exhibits
<br />A and B, should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the
<br />NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />same;
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
<br />TEXAS:

<br />Section 1.
<br /> That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all
<br />things approved.
<br />Section 2.
<br /> That the form of Change Order No. One to Contract #1 with Hilliard & Sons
<br />Contractors, Inc. for construction of Softball Fields including grading, grassing, irrigation, and
<br />infield construction for "The Paris Sports Complex," attached hereto as Exhibit A, to add
<br />installation of two 3" gate valves to irrigation system and change 3" irrigation system mainline
