<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. ONE TO CONTRACT
<br />#4 WITH RICHARD DRAKE CONSTRUCTION FOR THE
<br />CONSTRUCTION OF THE SPORTS PAVILION INCLUDING METAL
<br />BUILDING, CONCRETE SLAB, ELECTRICAL AND MASONRY FOR THE
<br />PARIS SPORTS COMPLEX; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND
<br />PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN
<br />EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />WHEREAS,
<br /> the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 8th day of May,
<br />2003, in Resolution No. 2003-082, award Contract #4 for the construction of the Sports Pavilion
<br />including metal building, concrete slab, electrical and masonry for the "Paris Sports Complex,"
<br />to Richard Drake Construction; and,
<br />WHEREAS,
<br />MHS Planning & Design, acting as project engineer, recommends the
<br />amendment of the contract for said project by Change Order No. One, to add 1" flat iron braces
<br />to the diagonal star steel at 10 locations at the sports pavilion @ $131 each, and providing for
<br />increase
<br />a net of $1,310.00 in the contract price, for a total contract price of $248,891.00; and,
<br />WHEREAS,
<br /> the form of Change Order No. One, attachedhereto as Exhibit A should,
<br />NOW,
<br />in all things, be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the same;
<br />THEREFORE,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
<br />TEXAS:

<br />Section 1.
<br /> That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all
<br />things approved.
<br />Section 2.
<br /> That the form of Change Order No. One to Contract #4 with Richard Drake
<br />Construction for the construction of the Sports Pavilion including metal building, concrete slab,
<br />electrical and masonry for "The Paris Sports Complex," attached hereto as Exhibit A, to add 1"
<br />flat iron braces to the diagonal star steel at 10 locations at the sports pavilion @ $131 each, and
<br />increase
<br />providing for a net of $1,310.00 in the contract price, for a total contract price of
<br />$248,891.00, be, and the same is hereby, approved.
<br />Section 3.
<br /> That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on
<br />behalf of the City of Paris, said Change Order No. One, upon the terms and conditions and in
<br />the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
