<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. ONE TO CONTRACT
<br />#6 WITH HILLIARD & SONS CONTRACTORS, INC. FOR THE
<br />CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE FLATWORK AND PARK AMENITIES
<br />INCLUDING TRAIL, DRAIN PIPES, CONCRETE FLATWORK, PICNIC
<br />STATIONS AND PLAYGROUND FOR THE PARIS SPORTS COMPLEX;
<br />MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE
<br />SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />WHEREAS,
<br /> the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 8th day of May,
<br />2003, in Resolution No. 2003-083, award Contract #6 for the construction of concrete flatwork
<br />and park amenities including trail, drain pipes, concrete flatwork, picnic stations and playground
<br />for the "Paris Sports Complex," to Hilliard & Sons Contractors; and,
<br />WHEREAS,
<br />MHS Planning & Design, acting as project engineer, recommends the
<br />amendment of the contract for said project by Change Order No. One, to add internal rope based
<br />halyard system to flagpoles (2 poles @ $150 per pole) and to modify concrete walkway between
<br />increase
<br />field #3 and field #4, and providing for a net of $2,130.00 in the contract price, for a
<br />total contract price of $173,130.00; and,
<br />WHEREAS,
<br /> the form of Change Order No. One, attachedhereto as Exhibit A should,
<br />NOW,
<br />in all things, be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the same;
<br />THEREFORE,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
<br />TEXAS:

<br />Section 1.
<br /> That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all
<br />things approved.
<br />Section 2.
<br /> That the form of Change Order No. One to Contract #6 with Hilliard & Son
<br />Contractors for the construction of concrete flatwork and park amenities including concrete trail,
<br />drain pipes, concrete flatwork, picnic stations and playground for the "Paris Sports Complex,"
<br />attached hereto as Exhibit A, to add internal rope based halyard system to flagpoles (2 poles
<br />@$150 per pole), and to modify concrete walkway between field #3 and field #4, and providing
<br />increase
<br />for a net of $2,130.00 in the contract price, for a total contract price of $173,130.00, be,
<br />and the same is hereby, approved.
