<br />MINUTES <br /> <br /> <br />Tuesday, August 5, 2003 Meeting <br />Historic Preservation Commission <br />City of Paris, Texas <br />Paris Junior College, Applied Technologies Building <br />Room 1206 <br /> <br />Item One: <br /> In the absence of Chairman Arvin Starrett, Vice-Chairman Ann Rogers called the meeting to <br />order at 4:05 PM. <br /> <br />Item Two: <br /> The roll was called by Paul Denney, Recording Secretary. The following Commission <br />members were present: <br /> <br /> Ann Rogers <br /> Paul Denney <br /> Claudia Hunt <br /> Sue Lancaster <br /> Barbara Wilson <br /> Becki Norment <br /> <br />The following Commission members were absent: <br /> <br /> Arvin Starrett <br /> Linda Ryan <br /> Jerry Raper <br /> <br />The following guest was present: <br /> <br /> Susie Harper <br /> <br />A quorum was present. <br /> <br />Item Three: <br /> Commission members reviewed proposals from four historic preservation consulting firms <br />submitted in response to the Historic Preservation Commission's call for proposals, dated July 17, 2003 for <br />the purpose of conducting a historic resources survey for the City of Paris. Commission members scored <br />proposals from Architexas Architecture, Planning and Historic Preservation, Inc., Mary G. Saltarelli, <br />SWCA Environmental Consultants and Diane E. Williams. Commission members used a standard form <br />for fairness and consistency in ranking the consultants presented to commission members prior to the <br />meeting. The result of the scoring was as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Architexas 536 points <br /> 2. SWCA 290 points <br /> 3. Diane E. Williams 246 points <br /> 4. Mary G.
