the City Manager, in a total amount not to exceed $ , to equip and train a <br />hazardous material mitigation (HAZ-MAT) team of designated firefighters within the City Fire <br />Department to respond to and mitigate HAZ-MAT episodes in the event that such an episode <br />should occur at or within the operating areas of the City's major industries and the City's water <br />treatment plant. <br />Section 3. That the funds so expended, although not currently available and designated <br />for such use within the City Fire Department budget, shall be and are hereby authorized for <br />expenditure, to be subsequently designated for such purpose by formal amendment of the City's <br />current fiscal year 2003-2004 budget at a future date. <br />Section 4.
