<br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />PARIS-LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> <br />The Paris-Lamar County Board of Health held its regular meeting Tuesday, April 27,2004, at <br />Paris-Lamar County Health Depatiment. Board members in attendance includes Dr. RobeI1 <br />Moseley, Dr. Caroline Wilson, Dr. Bert Strom, Dr, David Carpenter, and Mrs. Rae Jackson. Others <br />in attendance included Judge Chuck Superville, Mr. Anthony Bethel, Mrs. LaDonna Koehn and <br />Mrs. Carla Rhodes. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:06 PM. <br /> <br />The minutes of the previous meeting was approved with motion made by Dr. Carpenter and second <br />by Dr. Moseley. <br /> <br />Mr. Bethel introduced new Board members, Dr. David Carpenter and Mrs. Rae Jaekson. <br /> <br />Mr. Bethel states the only issue not resolved from last Board meeting was the purchase or a <br />deJìbrillator, and he has the defibrillators in next years budget. <br /> <br />Dr. Carpenter states to check on a self contained defibrillator. <br /> <br />Dr. Strom states the City has a contract to put defibrillators in police cars. <br /> <br />Dr. Moseley states that he will be at Texas Department of Health in the next few weeks and he will <br />check on grant money for purchasing a defibrillator. <br /> <br />Judge Supcrville states that Home Land Security might get a dcfibrillator for thc Hcalth <br />Departmcnt. <br /> <br />Mr. Bethel presented the Health Departments monthly statistics and activities. <br /> <br />Mr. Bethel states that the Health Department is seeing more Hispanics. <br /> <br />Dr. Caq)enter states that the Trailer Companies are bringing in illegals. <br /> <br />Judge Superville states the hospital is looking at Indigent Health Care. <br /> <br />Dr. Strom suggested checking with Dallas County Health Department on how they handle illegals. <br />
