MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION Monday, April 19, 2004 4:00 P.M. 1.Chad Brown called the Building and Standards Commission Meeting to order at 4:00P.M. Roll was called. A.The following members were present: Chad Brown Mary Crumpler Brad Archer Harrell Tippitt Greg Wilson B.The following members were absent: Tommy Robinson Mark Rothfuss Lucius Joe, Jr. Ward Hall Patrick Brown Pike Burkhart 2.Approval of Minutes of March 15, 2004: A motion was made by Greg Wilson to approve the meeting minutes, and Mary Crumpler seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. 3.Public hearing to consider presentations by Code Inspector of the City of Paris, and owner(s) and / or lien holders of the below listed properties which have been given notice of a violation of City Ordinance that structures need to be demolished because of fire damage: A.1772 W. Austin Street, Lot 9, Block 6, S.J. Wright Addition There were no comments from the audience concerning this property. Greg Wilson made a motion that the building be demolished within 30 days with a $1000 per day civil penalty and, if the building is not demolished within the 30 day time period, the City will demolish the building. Chad Brown seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. rd B.249 3 Street S.W., Lot 1 City Block 176 Mrs. Linda Martinez addressed the Commission concerning this property. She has pulled a demolition permit and dumpsters are now on site. She has stated that they will be demolishing the residence by hand and salvaging some of the lumber.
