property as designated by the City Council of the City of Paris. <br />Code Enforcement recommends demolition or repair of the following structures: <br />A. 218 W Washington <br />Chair Cox introduced the item and called for discussion. Commissioner Alsobrook <br />explained that she had visited the site and spoken with neighbors about the demolition of <br />the structure, and that the neighbors were in favor of its demolition. Motion was made by <br />Vice Chair Glatfelter and seconded by Commissioner Alsobrook to recommend demolition <br />of the structure to the Building and Standards Commission. The motion carried 4 -0. <br />5. Discussion Items <br />A. Murals <br />B. Composite and synthetic building materials <br />C. Mortar types <br />D. Product approval process <br />Chair Cox introduced the item and called for discussion. The commission first <br />discussed mural including the distinction between long -term murals and short -term <br />murals. The commission then discussed the approval of synthetic materials, mortar <br />types and other products. Chair Cox suggested that a subcommittee of <br />commissioners be appointed to study these items and return a recommendation to <br />the commission. No action was taken. <br />6. Discussion and possible action on a new Commission meeting schedule <br />Chair Cox introduced the item and called for discussion. After discussion of meeting times <br />a motion was made by Commissioner Holbert and seconded by Commissioner Alsobrook <br />to hold a regular meeting on the fourth Monday of each month at 4:00 p.m. and special <br />meetings on an as- needed basis. The motion carried 5 -0. <br />7. Future Agenda Items <br />Vice Chair Glatfelter requested a future item to discuss the removal of historic materials <br />from dilapidated buildings. No action was taken. <br />8. Adjournment <br />With no other matters to discuss, a motion to adjourn was made by Vice Chair Glatfelter <br />and seconded by Commissioner Allcorn.
