MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />MONDAY, AUGUST 4, 2014 <br />5:30 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />The meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, August 4, 2014, was <br />called to order at 5:30 p. m. by Jerry Akers, Vice - Chairman. <br />A. The following members were present: Jerry Akers, John Lee, Mike Folmar, Billy <br />Trenado, James Price and Barney Bray <br />B. The following members were absent: Holland Harper <br />C. Also present were Shawn Napier, Director of Engineering, Planning and <br />Development; Alan Efrussy, Planning Manager; Sue Lancaster, City Council and <br />Ashley Fendley, Secretary for the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (July 7, 2014) <br />Motion was made by James Price, seconded by Mike Folmar to approve minutes for the <br />July 7, 2014 meeting. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />3. Consideration of and action on a request to City Council to enact a 180 -day moratorium <br />on Specific Use Permits No. 39- Mobile Home of the Zoning Ordinance. <br />Alan Efrussy, Planning Manager presented the request for the six -month moratorium on <br />Specific Use Permit No. 39- Mobile Homes of the Zoning Ordinance and a formation of a <br />sub - committee to evaluate mobile homes, manufactured housing, and recreational <br />vehicles. The Planning and Zoning Commission believed this would benefit the City of <br />Paris in a positive manner. Motion was made by Billy Trenado, seconded by John Lee to <br />approve the request to the City Council to enact a 180 -day moratorium on Specific Use <br />Permits No. 39- Mobile Home of the Zoning Ordinance. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />4. Consideration of and action on the formation of a sub - committee to evaluate mobile <br />homes, manufactured housing and recreational vehicles. <br />Alan Efrussy, Planning Manager stated the formation of a sub - committee to evaluate <br />mobile home, manufactured housing and recreational vehicles would be a step in the right <br />direction. This Planning and Zoning Commission is interested in forming a subcommittee. <br />Mike Folmar, James Price and John Lee have volunteered their time to be placed on the <br />
