A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2004-026 WHICH APPROVED AND AUTHORIZED A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR, CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION, FOR A RED RIVER VALLEY DRUG TASK FORCE GRANT; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 9th day of February, 2004, in Resolution No. 2004-026, authorize an application to the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, Texas Narcotics Control Program, for a Regional Controlled Substance Apprehension Program Grant, and, WHEREAS, the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, has advised the City that said Resolution No. 2004-026 should be revised to clearly delineate the City's responsibility for providing all required matching funds; and BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COLTNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That Resolution No. 2004-026, be, and the same is hereby, amended so that such shall read as follows: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR, CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION, FOR A RED RIVER VALLEY DRUG TASK FORCE GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $739,722.00, WITH THE CITY OF PARIS PROVIDING $311,434.00 IN MATCHING FUNDS; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT; MAHING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the best interests of the citizens of the city of Paris, Texas, that the Red River Valley Drug Task Force be operated for the year beginning 7une 1, 2004, and ending May 31, 2005; and,
