Regular Meeting City Council May 10, 2004 Page 8 Resolution No. 2004-088, resolving that the regular Thursday meeting of the City Council scheduled for June 10, 2004, be, and the same is hereby, rescheduled for Monday, June 14, 2004, at 6:00 P.M. and that a copy be placed on the City Hall Bulletin Board giving notice of the rescheduling, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilman Guest, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. Resolution No. 2004-089, resolving that Sherian Dixon, be, and she is hereby appointed Assistant City Clerk to act in the stead of City Clerk Mattie Cunningham when she is occupied with other duties, absent from the City or incapable of acting as City Clerk, was presented. A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem McCarthy, seconded by Councilwoman Neeley, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Fendley announced the next item on the agenda was approving an agreement with Wollack Testing Service for the use of promotional examination for police and firefighter personnel pursuant to the Civil Service Act. Karl Louis, Police Chief, was present asking the City Council to table action of that item because they wanted time for additional research of this matter before they commit to it. A motion was made by Councilman Weekly to table action of the resolution. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Neeley and carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. Resolution No. 2004-090, approving and authorizing the expenditure of funds for fiscal year 2003-2004 to pay the cost for training and equipping a Fire Department HAZ-MAT Mitigation Team; and providing for an effective date. Ronnie Grooms, Fire Chief, came forward advising the City Council that he had been approached by various members of local industry, and he had checked his records where he notified a contingency of the local industry of the fact that
