MINUTES <br /> <br /> SPECIAL MEETING <br /> CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br /> CITY HALL <br /> WEST ANNEX BREAK ROOM <br /> 150 1ST STREET S.E. <br /> PARIS, TEXAS <br /> MONDAY, MAY 17, 2004 <br /> 12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br /> <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission Meeting was called to order by <br /> Chairman Arvin Starrett at 12:00 P.M. <br /> <br /> A. The following members were present: <br /> Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br /> Barbara Wilson, Vice-Chairman <br /> Paul Denney <br /> Sue Lancaster <br /> <br /> B. The following members were absent: <br /> Claudia Hunt <br /> Jerry Raper <br /> Ann Rodgers <br /> Alternates: Brian Wear <br /> Becki Norment <br /> <br /> C. Also present were Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer, and Steve <br /> Methven, Chief Building Official. <br /> <br />2. Discussion of and possible action on approving the foflowing Certificates of <br /> Appropriateness: <br /> <br /> A. Kelly and Melissa Wickersham - 574 S. Church Street. Chairman <br /> Starrett presented for the Commission's consideration a petition by the <br /> Wickershams to remove an existing cinder blOCk fence and replace <br /> with a wood privacy fence. Chairman Starrett stated that, in his <br /> opinion, the fence style was appropriate because there are other fences <br /> similar to the proposed fence in the historic district, and he called for <br /> a motion. Motion to approve the petition was made by Paul Denney, <br /> seconded by Sue Lancaster. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> <br /> <br />
