the commission before with two other homes. Mr. Ricks asked to repair this <br />structure and demolish the other two. Since then Mr. Ricks has demolished both <br />structures but hasn't finished his repair. Presently the house has no siding on one <br />side of the home, no insulation, some flooring has been removed, and it has junk <br />and rubbish. From the looks of the property Mr. Ricks hasn't done much repair in <br />the past 4 or 5 months. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Wendell Moore, seconded by Ben Vaughn to accept <br />Robert Talley's recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 5 -0 <br />4. Code Enforcement update. <br />(1). Mr. Talley stated that they demolished 8 structures in the month of August. <br />(2). Mr. Talley stated the Pine Bluff home was demolished and it ended up <br />costing a little over $4,000.00 due to so much stuff in the home. <br />(3). Mr. Talley stated he will be making changes to the report he submits to the <br />city council and asked the commission if they would like that as well. The <br />commission had no issue with the report changing. <br />(4). Mr. Lindsey asked about 260 South Main where we are with that structure. <br />Mr. Talley stated we haven't received a ruling on that issue yet. Mr. Norris asked <br />Mr. Talley to check into it. <br />(5). Mrs. McEwin asked how we are on funding and Mr. Talley stated he needed <br />to check with Gene Anderson because he has two figures $73,000.00 and <br />$82,000.00 he is not sure which one is the current amount. <br />(6). Mr. Vaughn asked where are we on the home on 13ffi SE and Mr. Talley <br />stated he sent them a letter for it to be demolished within 30 days. <br />(7). Mr. Norris asked if any of the citizens have applied for the loan from the <br />banks and Mr. Talley stated he will submit it to the commission in the next <br />meeting. <br />5. Adjournment <br />Motion was made by Wendell Moore, seconded by Sally McEwin to adjourn <br />the meeting at 4:14pm. Motion carried unanimously. 5 -0 <br />
