MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />MONDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2014 <br />5:30 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, October 6, 2014, was <br />called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Holland Harper, Chairman. <br />A. The following members were present: Holland Harper, Jerry Akers, Mike Folmar, <br />James Price and John Lee <br />B. The following members were absent: Barney Bray and Billy Trenado <br />C. Also present were Shawn Napier, Director of Engineering, Planning and <br />Development; Alan Efrussy, Planning Manager; and Ashley Fendley, Secretary for <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (September 2, 2014) <br />Motion was made by Mike Folmar, seconded by James Price to approve minutes for the <br />September 2, 2014 meeting. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />3. Public hearing and consideration of and action on the proposed Cox Field Planned <br />Development Airport Zoning District Ordinance, generally located as follows: On the <br />south slightly east of Cobb Ranch Road extending along Clarksville Street, then following <br />the Paris city limit line to its eastern boundary; on the east following the Paris city limit <br />boundary; on the north following the Paris city limit boundary to slightly east of Cobb <br />Ranch Road; and on the west from a line extending south from the Paris city limits to <br />Clarksville Street (U.S. Hwy 217). <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />A. One individual spoke in favor of the petition. <br />Jack Ashmore, 4135 Lakeshore Drive Reno Texas, spoke in favor of the petition. <br />Mr. Ashmore Chairman of the Airport Advisory Board and the Joint Subcommittee <br />stated he believes this is a step in the right direction to bring businesses to the <br />Airport. <br />B. Six individuals spoke neither for nor against the petition. <br />
