Paris Convention and Visitors Council <br />Chamber of Commerce <br />October 30, 2014 <br />4:00 p.m. <br />Present: Bobby Walters, Jeff Martin, Edwin Pickle, Mike Patterson, Carolyn Patterson, Erik Roddy, <br />Jeff Martin, James Brockway, Stephen Gerrald, Raju Patel, Steve Keywood, Greg Wilson, <br />Josh Bray and Roy Gwinn. <br />Staff: Becky Semple and Gina Crawford <br />Chairman Bobby Walters called the meeting to order at 4:05 p.m. <br />An introduction of guest, Robert High, was made. <br />Jeff Martin presented the financials. A motion to accept was made by Mike Patterson, seconded by <br />James Brockway. Motion passed. <br />A motion to approve minutes was made by James Brockway, seconded by Roy Gwinn, and passed. <br />Funding requests were presented for North East Texas Class Car Show and Paris High School Basketball <br />Tournament. North East Texas Car Show was awarded $1100.00. A motion to accept was made by Erik <br />Roddy, seconded by James Brockway. Paris High School Basketball Tournament was awarded $2050.00. <br />A motion to approve was made by Jeff Martin, seconded by Erik Roddy. Motions passed. <br />Bobby spoke briefly about the Event Committee formation. Greg Wilson will chair and asked for any and <br />all ideas and suggestions. He wants to try to reach a certain goal. <br />New Business —The covered arena is moving forward and the committee hopes to schedule some tours, <br />of other arenas, in the near feature. <br />With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 4:54 p.m. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Becky Semple <br />
