Meeting Minutes of the Main Street Advisory Board <br />107 Kaufman St <br />Paris Texas <br />City Council Chambers <br />Tuesday, October 14, 2014 <br />Present: <br />Absent: <br />Beatrice Ardila <br />Nancy Waldrum <br />Jerry Coyle <br />Becky Semple, <br />Jill Drake <br />Chamber Liaison <br />Glee Emmite <br />Katie Raulston <br />Missy Starnes <br />Guests: <br />Gary O'Connor, John <br />Brooks, Keith Green <br />Cheri Bedford, Main Street <br />Manager <br />Benny Plata, City Council <br />1. Call meeting to order Jill Drake 4:20 p.m. <br />2. Role taken. Quorum established. <br />3. Approval of minutes of September 9, 2014. Motion to approve by Katie Raulston and second by Jerry <br />Coyle. Motion carried. <br />4. Citizens forum (open to public) <br />a. Keith Green representing Carriage House at 2100 Clarksville. He requesting a grant for roof repair <br />– removing 2 -3 layers rotten wood and changing the roof structure. <br />b. Sydney Young representing the PCT /Brown Center. Gary also and spoke about the need to enlarge <br />the scuffers, installing metal parapet covers. John Brooks discussed the various proposed bids for <br />the roof. <br />Carriage House Grant request was discussed and a motion was made by Jerry Coyle for $5000 and seconded <br />by Missy Starnes. Motion carried. <br />PCT Brown Center. Karl Raulston made a motion to award a grant of $5,000 to PCT- Brown Center. <br />Motion seconded by Jerry Coyle. Motion carried. <br />5. Coordinator Updates: Cheri Bedford <br />a. City Council has approved the sidewalk project -work should begin after the Pumpkin Festival <br />b. Pumpkin Festival has around 70 vendors -have mechanical bull coming. Code Red will be the <br />method of information for the weather delay issues 'n the event of inclement weather vendors have <br />been told to wait out the weather. <br />6. Committee Reports <br />a. Organization: Jill Drake - meeting Oct 1 – decided they were to concentrate on volunteers for events <br />b. Designs: Nancy Waldrum -not present –met Oct 2 –no report <br />c. Promotions: Kar)Raulston- reported that there are several Mannequins for the Pumpkin Festival <br />both inside shops and outdoors. Plans are under way for Wassail Fest and the $10000 drawing. <br />d. Economic Restructure: Jerry Coyle —Cheri and Jerry met - no report. <br />
