SECTION 4: APPLICABILITY <br />This Ordinance shall apply only to those parcels of land shown on the Cox Field Planned Development <br />Airport Zoning District Ordinance Map, which is attached to this Ordinance as an Exhibit <br />SECTION 5: AIRSPACE OBSTRUCTION/HEIGHT LIMITATION ZONE <br />(A) ESTABLISHMENT OF AIRSPACE OBSTRUCTION/HEIGHT LIMITATION ZONE <br />(1) An airport obstacle/height limitation zone is established to carry out the purposes of <br />this Ordinance, as set forth in Section 2 above. More specifically, the airport <br />obstacle/height limitation zone regulations in this Section restrict the height of <br />structures and objects that may be hazardous to the operational safety of aircraft <br />operating to and from the Paris, Texas Cox Field Airport, and within all the subzones <br />of this Paris, Texas Cox Field Planned Development Airport Zoning District. <br />(2) The boundary of the airport obstacle/height limitation zone shall be the full extent of <br />the area described by all of the imaginary airspace surfaces described in FAR Part <br />77 of the FAA guidance as applied to the Cox Field Airport, and within all the <br />subzones of this Cox Field Planned Development Airport Zoning District <br />Ordinance. <br />(B) APPLICABILITY OF HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS <br />(1) The height restrictions of this Section 5 shall apply to all properties located <br />within the airspace obstruction/height limitation of the subzones established in <br />Section 5(A) above. <br />(C) PROHIBITION OF AIR SPACE ZONE OBSTRUCTIONS <br />(1) General Height Restrictions <br />Except as otherwise provided in this Ordinance, and except as necessary and <br />incidental to airport operations, no structure or tree shall be constructed, altered, <br />maintained, or allowed to grow in the airspace obstruction/height limitation zone <br />so as to project above any of the imaginary airspace surfaces described in FAR <br />Part 77 of the FAA guidance. Where an area is covered by more than one height <br />limitation, the more restrictive height limitation shall apply. <br />(2) Height Exceptions and Variances <br />Height exceptions or variances may be permitted only when supported in writing <br />by the airport sponsor and the FAA. Applications for height variances shall <br />follow the procedures for other variances stated in Section 12 of this Ordinance <br />and shall be subject to such conditions and terms as recommended by the FAA. <br />(3) Conflicting Regulations <br />When the height limitations of the applicable zone district are more restrictive <br />than those of this Ordinance, the applicable zone district height limitations shall <br />apply and control. <br />SECTION 6: AIRPORT LAND USE COMPATIBILITY ZONE DISTRICTS <br />16 <br />
