Item No. 13 <br />memorandum <br />TO: City Council <br />John Godwin, City Manager <br />FROM: Gene Anderson, Finance Director <br />SUBJECT: FUEL BIDS <br />DATE: 12 -30 -2014 <br />BACKGROUND: The City periodically takes bids for the purchase of unleaded and diesel fuel <br />to be used by the various departments of the City. <br />STATUS OF ISSUE: The City requested bids from fuel vendors with the bids being due <br />December 22, 2014 but having an effective date of February 1, 2015. One bid was received that <br />being from Blankinship Oil Company. Attached is a spreadsheet showing the Blankinship Oil <br />bid and for comparison the prices the City would pay under the HCDE cooperative agreement <br />approved by the Council in December. Prices under the cooperative agreement were bid as <br />required by state law. <br />BUDGET: The City budgeted a total of $647,380 for fuel in the 2014 -15 budget with this <br />amount being spread out among various departments. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Motion to approve the bid from Blankinship Oil Company. <br />
