City of Paris Safety Committee Meeting <br />December 4, 2007 <br />City Council Conference Room <br />Present: Dale Maberry, Priscilla McAnally, Jason Barber, Melba Harris, Steve Wood, Amy <br />Samis, Darrel Dickerson, Matt Birch, Kevin Carruth, Todd Varner <br />• Call meeting to order @ 3:04 pm. <br />• Roll Call - Kelly Newman, Tim Moore: Absent <br />• Revision to previous meeting's minutes: <br />"101h District Court" should be "10t1i Circuit Court" <br />• First Report of Injuries and /or safety violations were reviewed <br />October 23, 2007 Mowing Crew Employee <br />November 8, 2007 Sanitation Department Employee <br />November 14, 2007 Meter Reader <br />November 13, 2007 Water /Sewer Department Employee <br />There were no request or ideas mentioned for safety training in any department. <br />Todd notified committee of the TML Discovery Team that will be here to meet with the <br />Manager and Department Heads on December 11 h. <br />City Manager, Kevin Carruth asked Todd if the Discovery Team would like to meet with <br />the committee as well. Todd advised he would ask Clarence Graves. <br />Discussed Comedian/Inspirational Speaker for Employee Banquet <br />Priscilla made motion to approve Lyndy Phillips for Entertainment at Employee Banquet <br />Darrel Dickerson - 2" d <br />Passed 8 -0 Vote <br />Discussed funds for Employee Appreciation projects. <br />Scrap metal sold from Public Works and Waste Water Treatment will go into the <br />Employee Appreciation Fund. <br />Door prizes at banquet were discussed; City will not ask local businesses for donations <br />Names of employees will be put in a hat and drawn for prizes; employee names drawn <br />must be either on duty or present to win. <br />Meeting adjourned 3:54 pm <br />
