MINUTES <br />TRAFFIC COMMISSION <br />TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 2,1988 <br />5:15 P.M. <br />COUNCIL ROOM - CITY HALL <br />PARIS,TEXAS <br />The Traffic Commission met in regular session Tuesday,February 2,1988, <br />with the following members present: <br />1. Zephaniah Gibson <br />2. Frank Sherman <br />3. Richard Fuller <br />4. Gerald W. Byas <br />5. Judy Lutz <br />6. Wayne Fletcher <br />The City Staff was represented by Assistant Chief of Police, James <br />Barnett. <br />The first item of business was consideration of requests for Stop Signs <br />at the following locations: <br />1. 42nd S.E. at Lamar stopping South bound traffic on 42nd at <br />Lamar Avenue. <br />2. 11th N.E. at East Grove stopping North and South bound traffic <br />on Grove. <br />Richard Fuller made a motion to combine the requests and to <br />erect Stop Signs. <br />Judy Lutz seconded the motion and it carried 6 ayes to 0 nays. <br />Request for a 20 M.P.H. speed limit on 32nd N.E. between Pine Mill Road <br />and Houston Street was considered. <br />After learning this street does not adjoin the school property, Gerald <br />Byas made a motion to deny the request and to place CHILDREN PLAYING <br />signs in this area. <br />Zephaniah Gibson seconded the motion and it carried 6 ayes to 0 nays. <br />The minutes of the November 3,1987 meeting were approved as submitted. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 5:45 P.M. <br />JJames Barnett <br />Assistant Chief of Police <br />
