Paris Economic Development Corporation <br />Business Plan - 2012 -2014 <br />91;Mi <br />I I ' S <br />!� ..; �aa14r ,��E��n.,�t�t.�r.�.,.tr,•.. <br />Forward <br />The proposed Business Plan will transform the structure, function and operations of the <br />Paris Economic Development Corporation (PEDC) and have a "world- class" impact on <br />Paris, Lamar County, Texas and the entire Northeast Texas Red River Region. Key <br />features and assumptions are as follows. <br />The Business Plan is: <br />1. Based on the recommendations provided by Richard Seline, Principle of <br />Regionnovate, Inc., and based on work from the original four working groups. <br />2. Implemented by civic engagement and designed around: <br />A. 1 Civic Leadership Steering Committee. <br />B. 2 Major Initiatives. <br />C. 5 Implementation Strategies conducted by 5 Working Groups. <br />3. Supported by the PEDC Staff with minimal additions. <br />4. Implemented by five PEDC - appointed working groups, made up of PEDC Board <br />members, volunteer civic leaders and partner groups and organizations. <br />5. Implemented over a 3 -year period (2012 - 2014). <br />6. PEDC budget neutral and initially funded within PEDC's existing budget of $1 M per <br />year. <br />7. Expanded through fund raising activities for specific efforts and activities. <br />8.
