'MAIN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS 76460 <br />AUDITORIUM USE POLICY <br />- - -- DRAFT - - -- <br />GENERAL GUIDELINES: <br />The auditorium of the Paris Pubiic Library i5 available for library- sponsored <br />or co- sponsored programs or for approved, rioi,- profit education, civic, aad <br />cultural organizations in Lamar County. <br />The auditorium is not•ava,lable for social gatherings (showers, dunces, birth- <br />day pasties), money raising, religious, partisan political or commercial pur- <br />poses. Access co the audiLorlum will iot be permitted to groups which practice, <br />profess, or have as heir policy (cfficiai or unofficial), discrimination <br />against persons on the basis: of see;, race, religion, color or natic,nal origin. <br />The auditorium is not a�,ailable for use by individuals. The address of the <br />Library may not be used as she official address of an organization.. Pcrmis- <br />sion to use the auditorium does not constitute an endorsement of the group's <br />policies or beliefs. <br />FACILITY: <br />The auditorium huL, 60 seat capacity. Folding banquet tables are available <br />for seating a maximum of.6O people. A small pantry adjoins the room. <br />REGULATIONS: <br />1. Reservations must be made at least one week in advance. Applications <br />will be approved on a flr�,t come, first served basis. Arrangements may <br />be made ao earlier than one year in a&,aace. <br />2. Reservations must be made by adults only (18 years of age and over). <br />3. Due to limited staff, set up and arrangement, as well as cleaning of the <br />auditorium, is the responsibility oY the person making the reservation. <br />4. No physical changes are allowed in the Library auditorium except for re- <br />arrangement c,f furniture. No additional furniture or equipment other <br />than that already in Lhe Library will be provided. No additional furni- <br />ture or equipment, other than audio- visual aids, may be used without ap- <br />proval. <br />5. Equipment, supplies of Pei _'oaal efiects bhould riot be stored or left in <br />the auditorium. <br />6. No alcoholic drinks are to be served on Library property. <br />7. No meals shall be cooked on the piemises (Friends of the Library, Advisory <br />Board and staff are permitted). <br />
