MINUTES <br />PARIS PUBLIC LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD MEETING <br />September 3, 1987 <br />The Paris Public Library Advisory Board met in called <br />session at 4 p.m., September 3, 1987 in the Library Auditorium <br />with Chairman Virginia Gibbs, presiding. Present were Don <br />Black, Robert Pierson, Beth Shelton, Rogene Patterson, Jackie <br />Alsobrook, Jean Gibson and Frances Ellis, Secretary. Bill <br />Hagood was absent. Tiana Williams and Roslyn Sample of the <br />Library were present along with Dick Boots of the City. Mr. <br />Bill Bobbitt of Bobbitt's Advertising also attended. <br />The meeting was called to reset dates for the dedication <br />events and decide on expenditures for the invitations. <br />November 14 was set for the preview and November 15 for <br />the 2 o'clock dedication of the renovated and expanded Library <br />building. <br />Sample showed gray and buff colored paper from three <br />Paris printers with costs for 1000 invitations and inserts <br />from each: <br />E -Z Printing Co. - $285.48 (with $10 for change,of <br />ink color) for printing of the invitations, inserts <br />and envelopes. <br />Kwik Kopy, 3 pieces for $201.57 with ink change <br />Cannon Prints Co. - 3 pieces - $285.00, envelope, <br />folder and insert. <br />Bobbitt's Advertising - embossed printing $571 per <br />1000, without inserts. <br />Williams indicated there would be only 350 or 400 inserts <br />which would be invitations to the preview on Saturday evening. <br />Black discussed the value of having embossed and distinc- <br />tive invitations which would be collector's items. The design <br />of the three arches would be on the front of the folder. The <br />dye would be property of the company for 3 years but could be <br />used for other printing such as notepaper. He said the money <br />could come from the Love Memorial Fund. <br />page 1 of 2 <br />
