Weeding of fiction shelves is <br />in progress. <br />Not quite. But 3,100 were added in 1979 <br />-- a ,significant improvement. <br />No. After thinking hard about it, head <br />librarian decided all our resources <br />should be used to buy titles now. Mc- <br />Naughton is mainly to avoid buying many <br />duplicates, which we do not, generally. <br />It does not save money. <br />Purchase the most recent volumes of the- All are now on our shelves except AAAS <br />STANDARD CATALOG series, AAAS SCIENCE SCIENCE. It is on order. <br />BOOK LIST, and REFERENCE BOOKS FOR SMALL <br />AND MEDIUM -SIZED PUBLIC LIBRARIES. <br />Plan £or an audio - visual collection in the <br />new building. <br />We now have an audio- visual program. Mrs. <br />Waller suggested that building the book <br />collection should come first. But NETLS <br />purchase of A -V equipment gave such a good <br />opportunity to get started. The film pro- <br />gram, esp., has been well worth the effort. <br />
