The Library staff has begun parking near the street to allow <br />patrons easier access to the entrance. <br />The Library telephone will no longer be answered in the <br />public areas. Two staff members have been assigned this <br />responsibliity which will facilitate more professional <br />communitations. <br />There have been several memorial donations for Nancy Poteet <br />who worked at the Paris News for many years. Ms. Lewis will set up <br />a small display which will also include the book she wrote. <br />Ms. Lewis identified a need for biographical materials in the <br />reference area. She mentioned the Encyclopedia of World Biography <br />15- volume set which costs approximately $795 with annual updates <br />approximately $85 would be quite useful. She advised she would <br />speak to the Friends group about this need. Mrs. Alsobrook <br />suggested taking memorial donations for it. <br />Chairman Hagood advised Board members to begin thinking about <br />suggestions for nominees for the City Council to consider for <br />filling the upcoming three vacancies on the Board. In June, the <br />terms of Hagood, Patterson, and Alsobrook expire.
