PAGE 2 <br />LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD MARCH 20, 1996, MINUTES <br />Ms. Lewis advised the collaboration between the Library and McCuistion Women's Health <br />Resource Center for the series of lectures "Women's Words - Women's Issues" has already <br />been successful with the first one today sold out and nearly all the reservations for next <br />week's program received. She said she will give the last lecture with a review and <br />discussion of Gail Sheehy's book, New Passages. <br />The Celebrate America committee requested the Friends of the Library to staff the two <br />drink concession stands during the three -day celebration, in return for 25% of the profit. <br />The Friends agreed to staff them on Saturday, July 6 and will ask for volunteers to help. <br />Kathie Gibbs reported the spring luncheon featuring columnist Reavis Worthan was a <br />success and that the students from the North Lamar creative wiring class especially enjoyed <br />the event. <br />The Board voted unanimously, upon motion by Jackie Alsobrook, second by Keitt Wood, <br />to amend the Gallery Policy by adding this sentence to the end of the first paragraph: <br />"Gallery use is limited to the hours of Library operations, except for an official Library <br />function." <br />The meeting adjourned at 4:58 PM. <br />e /� i994 <br />Frances A.
